Use Magical Express or get car rental at airport?

I am planning on renting a minivan for my trip but wondering if it is better to rent at the airport or use magical express and get a rental while I am at disney. I am looking to do what will save the most time. Thanks!

I would get at airport, if time is important. However, usually airport has more taxes on rental, making rental more expensive. Usually, not always. I think off plane, into rental, drive to Disney is faster than ME.

Renting at the airport is the fastest way, magical express can take 2 hours and then your bags show up much later

Magical Express rarely takes as long as the above poster indicates; it's more in the 60 to 90 minute range - which is comparable to how long it takes a renter to collect luggage, complete the rental transaction, and get to the resort. And no DME user ever needs to wait in the room for checked luggage.

But if overall speed is your only criterium, renting at the airport is faster because it's one activity instead of two: rent a car, vs. get transported to WDW then rent a car.
