Use FP+ for EP or AK?

Here is my conundrum. We are doing EP and AK in the same day. My original thought was to do EP in the morning and use my FP+ there but the only ride we're really interested in is Soarin, and maybe Test Track. The rest we can take or leave.

We plan to hit AK late in the day, after 4:00 (they are open until 8pm that day) and the only rides we "must" do are Everest and Kali Rapids. Does it make more sense to use the FP+ for AK or do crowds truly thin out in the evening there (we're going in about 3 weeks)? Or does Soarin back up that quickly that we're better off using FP+ at EP even though we don't care so much about anything else there.

We are staying at the Beach Club so we'd be coming in to EP from the WS so would have some distance to cover to get to Soarin at RD.

Thanks so much in advance for your advice!

I would use it for EP... Especially if u don't plan on getting to EP first thing and heading right to Soarin after RD. Soarin does fill up pretty quick and is where mist people head to first thing.

Use them at Epcot. By the time you get out of Soarin' the line for test track will be over an hour.

AK will be emptying out by the time you get there.

I've done RD from the International Gateway entrance (BC side) and have gotten to Soarin' without a FP+ with no problem - minimal wait. TT will have a line by the time you make it over there, but if you have older people in your party (ages 7 and up) you can do the single rider line at TT and lessen your wait time. Just know, you may all be put in different cars if you do the single rider route.

It's sort of a pick-your-poison situation. Do you want to wait in line for TT or for Kali and EE? Personally, I would do EP in the morning without FP+ and save the FP+ for AK.

If I were you, I would hit AK in the morning without FP+. Then, get a Soarin FP+ for later in the day. Have a nice dinner at Epcot, watch Illuminations, then have a short walk home to Beach Club. It's one of my favorite things about staying at BC, the proximity to Epcot. Take advantage of it!

The main benefit of FP+ is this exact situation: rope drop morning, then park hopping somewhere else in afternoon and having 3 FP waiting for you.

If you only really care about Soarin', but have multiple must-do rides at AK, I would save the FP for AK. Soarin' at RD will only be 10-15 minutes. We found single rider line for Test Track to be pretty quick early in the day. I have no idea when exactly AK will start to clear out on an 8pm closing day, but it wouldn't hurt to have your FP waiting for you when you get there.
