I want to record some of the character interactions at the M&Gs but I know that I will quickly drain the space on my iPhone.

Does anyone have a USB for their iPhone that they would recommend...?

There's no USBs. The only thing I can recommend is
1) Prepping your phone before you leave for the trip. Upload all your photos and videos to your computer then delete them from your phone to make space.
2) Purchase extra space from the cloud. It should be available in the storage area of your iphone settings. You can basically go on a month-to-month plan. I pay $1 a month for more storage. Once you take videos, send it to the cloud and delete it off your immediate phone.
3) Delete unnecessary apps. Also on the storage settings is the ability to check how much storage a particular app is using. If you don't need it, delete it.

I know how stressful it can be. I had an iphone a few years ago that was throttling on storage. I purposely bought an iPhone with storage so high that I'd never need to worry (or possibly fill) it again.

This is incorrect. There are all kinds of ways now to get flash drives for your iPhone. They are more expensive than buying iCloud storage, but it might be a lot easier to transfer files with the same quality doing it this way. I, also pretty sure you can buy what is essentially an external hard drive to can transfer files directly from your iPhone. I haven't used any of these personally, but they are available and start at about $60. image.png

There are definitely external storage options fro the iPhone, but they are relatively expensive (compared to the cost of thumbdrives and/or SD cards). Often they are ~$60 for 32GB (often much more), though that's more than enough storage for most trips, and require using an app to move files back and forth. but many of those apps are streamlined for photo/video backup which is perfect in this case.

Cloud backup works best when you have time back at the resort so the iPhone isn't burning through the battery (and often data) trying to upload from a busy park. But it also the safest storage, no losing files once uploaded.

I just use the cloud. It is cheap and makes it where all photos and video are backed up.

Mind blown. I stand corrected.

$60 for a 16gig thumb drive?!?!?!??! Wooooooow apple really does want to keep their storage pricing structure in force!

Also, if you use the cloud watch your data use, if your plan charges by the gig you can quickly rack up data costs.

Easiest option may be to choose a lower resolution for video, so they don't take up as much space, not everything needs to be in 4k/60 frames a second (or whatever the default high resolution setting is).

Yeah, not quite competitive to just buying a SD card. There are a few options that will allow users to use removal storage card like micro SD, but those usually cost ~$50 before the cost of the card.

Take all your extra stuff off your phone before you trip, and during your trip, move your photos and videos to your laptop. Unless you have a small memory or a lot of stuff on your iPhone, it's probably way less of an issue than you are imagining.

This is what I was going to suggest. Also, bring a laptop and upload your photos/videos every night when you return to the room, then delete them from the phone to make room for the next day.

This will work fine...if vacationing with laptop. I know I don't. And I wouldn't bring one just for this. They can upload to the cloud in their downtime as well.

Yeah, I wasn't intending to bring my laptop. I can definitely clear some stuff, and will look into using the cloud storage.

I would just use iCloud storage or after the day is over, just upload all your photos/videos to an online account like a Photobucket and then delete them off your phone. So many ways you can have a ton of stuff and transfer it without having to buy a drive for your phone.

And I didn't even know they made USB drives for phones
