That's sad. I understand why they would be upset about the pay decreases. But the other choice is for the company to liquidate and they would have no jobs. Is 21% less better than no job at all? I guess each individual has to decide that and move on to something else if they are unhappy.

I can honestly say we have traveled to WDW (and other destinations) on USAirways dozens of times. Collecting luggage at PHL after a trip has always been horrendous for us. It has rarely been done in a timely fashion. We've never waited 1.5 hours, but 45 minutes to an hour is not unusual. It has been blamed on various things from new construction to a new (and improved?!) baggage system. Now it is being blamed on the employees. This airline is rapidly losing respect in my eyes. I am so glad that we now have an option available in Southwest.

I cannot believe someone said that over the PA.

Of course if you asked me to take a pay cut and then announced you could afford to put TVs in all the seats...... I would probably be unhappy too!


Years ago when AA was closing thier Nashville hub I had a run in with a gate agent who was just flat out rude and called me a word that rhymes with witch. I had witnesses so I went to the counter and found the station manager who came down to the gate where several people complained about this woman. (I was not the only one who got called a name) His excuse.... she is worried about losing her job. HUH???? If you are rude to the customers and drive us off this will help you keep your job????
