went shopping on Amazon for a USA sim card to use while we are in Orlando in a couple of weeks.

They sent me one that says expiry date December 31st, 2020. Contacted Amazon support and they say to return it, Nice, thanks!!

I used to use ROAM, great service. Now defunct likely due to COVID. :(

Does anyone know if I can buy a SIM card at the airport on arrival?

If your phone supports eSIM, for data I have used Airalo since Roam went defunct.. (I rarely use a phone, so all I need is data)

Thanks for the tip. I will look into this.

We plan on exploring Orlando a lot more this trip so access to wifi may not always be available. (I guess we could find a McDonald's for quick access). The freedom of data while driving around and searching for locations is what I am in need of it for.

On property, we will use Disney's wifi.

I didn't know we could do this! Can someone explain to me -do we still use our own number? Which card works with a rogers iphone? Thanks.

Thank you!
And I can use my same phone number ?
Short answer... no

If it is a dual SIM/eSIM phone, your Canadian # would still be active and you could receive text messages at no charges but as soon as you start to use your Canadian number for anything else, roaming charges will apply. Usually, you'd make calls, text and use data from your US line and turn off data service for your Canadian line... and never answer a call/reply to a text coming to your Canadian number

Thank you!
And I can use my same phone number ?

It depends on your device. Some devices only allow for 1 SIM or eSIM to be connected at a time.

If you’re using an iPhone, particular models have the Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) technology that allows you to remain connected with both physical SIM and eSIM simultaneously.

Please keep in mind that data roaming charges may apply to the call service depending on your carrier provider.

In my case, I use Public Mobile in Canada, so I have to add a roaming plan if I want to use my Canada number.

I have previously done mixed where I added a talk roaming plan, and used the Airalo eSIM for data. (I have an iPhone) So, you can specify what uses what. But, my last trip I did not use the ”phone”, so don’t think I will add for my upcoming trip and strictly use Data. (Everyone I text I uses iMessage; if they don’t I use Messenger)
