I understand, even though I and many people I know went the opposite way. In that regard, we had no worry about taking a third shot being as it has been made freely available by the Provincial Health Authority and sanctioned by both my doctor and the administering pharmacist. I tend to trust these professionals as I have no reason not to. Nothing wrong with a more conservative approach though.
Lord, yes. But given the crazy way things keep evolving, I'm afraid we might be a little naive to assume they'll always change in directions that are favourable to our situation. We took the third shots while they are available so at least we have it on record - come what may.
I've read many studies with similar results and I'm confident this is true. Nothing's 100%, nor did any of the vaccines claim to be (people need to remember that in light of so-called break-through cases) but I do think those of us who went mixed have given ourselves the best possible protection.
Completely agree. Don’t get me wrong, if Ontario were offering a third dose, I’d be first in line. I feel comfortable with my mixed dose schedule, but if a third dose would smooth my way for travel, I’d take it. You’re right about things not necessarily falling in mixed dose peoples’ favour, although I certainly hope they will. It’s definitely a difficult time. I must say until we get a federally-harmonized system of vaccine verification, you're probably wise. It's an absolute gong-show how the so-called "vaccine passports" are rolling out province-to-province. Coming up with a national registry is one thing the Feds could do to really help us all out.
I'm thinking once the proof of vaccination starts for intercounty travel it might change things.
Amen to that. The uncertainty is what I find the hardest. I think @pigletto said it here or in another thread, the not being able to plan or look forward to anything takes a toll. I don’t do well with a lack of control and this pandemic has certainly been an exercise in relinquishing control.
What a headache for airline/rail staff to try and sort through all the various formats there are now. We really need a national registry if this particular restriction is to be enforced with any kind of efficiency.
Ha! During a counselling session just yesterday the practitioner defined anxiety (in almost every case) as being the result of an unmet need for predictability and comfort. Considering what we've all been subject to over the past 20 months, it's no surprise so many of us are having a hard time coping. Hang in there.
I am wondering if we will have a national passport start when they boarder opens up?
