US Target Credit Card

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Canadians can know apply for a US Target Credit card? When Target came to Canada we could not apply for the US card had to apply for Cdn card. Now they are gone can what happens in the US? Also, if we can apply is approval instantaneous? Or will we have to wait to get a card mailed?

Canadians can apply for the US Card. From their site.

Overview of the Credit Card Application Process:

• You must be 18 years old and have a U.S. or Canadian address to apply for a Target Credit Card online.
• A Target Credit Card can be used at Target stores in the United States and at Target.com.
• Keep in mind, you’ll need to have handy your Social Security Number, driver’s license, state ID or military ID and other personal identifying information.
• This application will time out after 15 minutes.
• By applying for a Target Credit Card, you agree that you are providing contact information from your application to TD Bank USA, N.A. and Target Corporation for their use, including marketing.
• The REDcard credit cards are issued by TD Bank USA, N.A.

I have had a US Target Visa for many years.

In the US we saw no changes in Target. Many credit cards you have to have a US address and Social. I know the company I work for Non-US residents cannot apply. Gov't regulations I am sure or due to cost of money conversions?
