Aloha,

A US virgin would greatly appreciate recommendations for touring strategy of US Hollywood. My family of four (kids 11 and 10) will be visiting US Monday and Tuesday, 01 and 02 October. A half day Monday starting around 12 PM and a full day Tuesday starting at park opening. Y'alls help and assistance on what to do/see/dine for both days would be sweet. Thanks in advance.

With a day and half, I don't think you will be pressed for time to see and do everything. However, I do understand that you may want to go on some rides multiple times. As for the half day, I don't have any specific advice, other than RULE NUMBER 1 of touring USH - visit the lower lot only once per day.

Arriving at opening (or earlier to get from a parking stucture), this is my first plan: Go on the Simpsons Ride, then down the escalators to ride Transformers, Jurassic Park, Revenge of the Mummy - and see the shows. Go back up to take the Studio Tour and enjoy the entertainment on the main level.

I know that the lower level used to open 1/2 hour after the park. I've asked here, but no one has reported whether or not this is still the case. If the rides on the lower lot (especially Transformer) were operating immediately at park opening, it might be better to skip the Simpsons (at first) and head down to the lower level right away.
