Indeed interesting. Although the officer was wrong to pull out a gun, I have no love for anti-authoritarians who just don't want to be told what to do. Plus, all of these people were old enough to know that you don't throw snow balls at moving vehicles. Heck, I wouldn't throw a snow ball at a stranger either.

It seemed to me that the 'mob mentality' started when he pulled a gun out after someone hit him(or his car) with a snowball. He should've stayed in his 80k car and called back-up.

Although I agree what he did was wrong, what does the price of his car have to do with it? Do you have a problem with what he drives?

He's an idiot. Standing there, gun drawn, taunting the crowd. Seems like he would have been more then happy to put a bullet in someone and was just looking for an excuse. He needs to remain on desk duty because apparently he is to over stressed to be able to handle his job properly. If this is his reaction for having his car get hit by a snowball I can just imagine what he would do if he were caught up in a REAL situation.

Moments before this incident happened, a police officer in a cruiser was stuck in the snow nearby, and the crowd stopped the snowball fight and went over and joined together to push him out of the snow and get him going again. Then went back to their snowball fight.

Then this yahoo shows up, gets hit, and comes out with a gun. Everybody calls the cops, and the cops show up looking for a lunatic with a gun. He explains who he is, things calm down.

But he created an incident where other police officers arrived thinking they were about to have a showdown with an unstable man with a gun. Many, many things could have gone wrong and ended up with gunfire all because he couldn't control his temper.

Exactly right! My understanding is that this snowball fight was pre-arranged and authorized. Officer Yahoo needs some serious anger management! What a jerk!
