I was thinking about doing a two night stay at the Nickelodeon but when I go through Universal's website I get a rate of about $600 (not including tickets) but I can get a rate of about $232 by going through Nick's website. I want to be able to get into Universal early entry but wanted to know if I can do this even if I don't make my reservations through the Universal website.

I'm also planning a one night stay at Royal Pacific so there is that option but I know my son would really love the Nick hotel.

I thought it had to be 1 of the 3 onsite resorts to get early entry, not partner hotels, could be wrong

The only way to get early entry while staying at a Partner hotel is if you stay on the Harry Potter package. If you book offsite without the package, you will not get the early entry. The package is more expensive then just booking the hotel through it's website or places such as Priceline ect. Although a difference of $600 and $232 seems way off even with the difference in package versus room only.

We're doing the Park to Park package with a partner hotel through the website and was told we get in early at IOA.
