I've heard that some of the rides are quite wet and we need to wear clothing that dries quickly. I'ts our first time and I can't keep straight which parks have which rides. Is there a wetter park of the two??

IOA is wetter! We did wet rides last Thursday afternoon. We started at the front of the boat on Jurassic Park River Adventure which wasn't too wet. Next stop was for the kids at the water guns in Camp Jurassic. I wore a poncho and still got pretty wet. We went to Dudley DoRight from there and managed to get even wetter. At Dudley we all got our shoes filled which became uncomfortable later on. Then we went to Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges and were drenched again. The kids stood under the falls in Toon Lagoon before we decided to return to the room and dry off. I had to buy DD10 some sandals because her shoes wouldn't dry.

IOA is the wetter park. USF has a water play area but you can take off your shoes before going in.
On Popeye, it's a good idea to take off your shoes and put them in the middle compartment. You have to wear them into the ride, but once there, you should be able to put them away. If not, then hold your feet up, because getting your shoes and socks soaked will make your feet waterlogged later in the day.

I don't think taking your shows off at Curious George in USF will keep you safe for long! Most kids at least who go there get absolutelt SOAKED.

It's a great water play area. Not to be missed by kids. Just be prepared.
