US/IOA Newbie with a few questions

We will be staying on DW property during our stay(Feb 21-25), but would like to spend one day at US/IOA and need some general ticket and park advice. I could not find a FAQ so that is why I am posting. We have DD 3 and DD 11. DD 3 is obsessed with Barney and Dora. DD11 likes the wild rides. I think because of this I should attempt both parks. What is the best ticket option. A coworker said to spring for the express option. Thanks

U can buy a 1 day 2 park ticket at gate they also sell express booklets inside the parks but it can work out expensive we stayed onsite last time in january but really not needed as when its quiet the waits are not too bad and they do have the express machines like Disney for free tix best plan to get their early do IOA first as although its themed the rides are mostly walkons in first two hours of park opening so u could be out of their by 12 if u get there for 8.30am
