US/IOA in one day?

We're planning to arrive around 10am and stay until closing Thursday December 18th.

Is it possible to do both parks in a single day? Would it help to buy the express passes?

This is not our first visit, so there are some attractions I'm happily willing to skip- Jaws, MIB, etc.

If we had time to squeeze in a sit-down meal, where would you recommend? We've "done" Mythos and Lombards, so would like to try something else.

Thanks so much!

I'm doing the same thing on the 13th. We're staying on site for that 1 night so we'll have express pass but I think it's totally doable. There are a few things that I won't mind skipping this time but I doubt we'll have time for the x-mas parade or grinchmas.

Since you've been there before, you shouldn't have any problems doing both parks in a single day. I wouldn't buy the Express passes until you see the lines and then decide. I doubt you would need them on a Thursday. As far as restaurants go...I would recommend either Louie's or Finnegan's at the Studios and Thunder Falls Terrace at IOA. Louie's and Thunder Falls Terrace are counter service restaurants but very good.

That day is a rated a very quiet day on UG's crowd calender. I'll be in Orlando for four days because that week is so slow. You will have no problem at all doing both parks in one day. I get it done regularly during the slow season.

I suggest starting with Islands of Adventure's Marvel Superheroes area then doing the full park circle. On that day once you get over to US even the busiest rides shouldn't be any more than a 15-20 minute wait. Leave them til the end when there shouldn't be much of any wait.

Wow, thanks so much for the great advice, y'all!

I checked out the Thunder Falls Terrace menu and it looks great. A few healthy options are always nice.

Thanks, too, for reassuring me about crowds and not needing the express pass. We're driving over from Port Canaveral for the day and this info is a big help.

Happy travels to all!
