Hi,
I have read that the US dollars have been changed to thwart counterfeit dollars and am worried that the dollars I have from my trip last year will not be legal tender when I return in December '05. Any ideas?

after reading a thread about 20 dollar bills with a pink hue checked on other web sites where it stated that old style currency is legal tender till it is used and is then not re-issued by the treasury, hope this answers your question.

I've just got my holiday spending money and they sent a mixture of the old and new notes, so they must still be ok

I haven't seen the new ones yet, will be getting some next week!? Are all of the notes different colours now??

There are new $20's and $50's at the moment--they are both far more coloured and very attractive I think! If I rememebr rightly the $50 is pinkish and the $20 is greenish?

This will probably help tourists as the $$ before were all exactly the same plain colour!

Yes old are new currency is still good here. The only difference is the new is prettier :)

I bought some dollars yesterday and was a bit disappointed that there was no new ones...just the green ones. Yes I know I am sad.......I wanted the new colourful ones :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

Same for me Slimey!

I was looking forward to a change in colour but it didn't happen to me in Marks and Spencers yesterday!
