US Airways flight via Charlotte - advice

I've just been contacted by Priceline re our flights to Tampa. Originally, they were via Pittsburg and switch to a different plane to continue the journey. This would have meant passing through immigration at Pittsburg (saving time on our arrival at Tampa).

The flight is now via Charlotte, but it's the same plane that carries on to Tampa. Where do we pass through customs? Will we be allowed off the flight at Charlotte? Anyone flown this route before?

I am fairly sure you will have to stay on the plane & its likely to be for 1.5 - 2 hours!

I think you'll have to clear customs and immigration in Charlotte. I'd suggest you ask Priceline. I thought Charlotte was a pretty nice airport and isn't usually too busy.
