First time flying them.

Have to go to Orlando for work again, also want to extend over the weekend(s) for fun time on my nickel, but since this is spring break, expanding the flight dates to include my extra fun time was WAAAAY above what my company is going to pay for flights on my work dates.

Found USAIR flights at the dates and times I want and the price is less than Delta flights on my work dates.

Only booking a week out, so not too worried about flight time changes.

Will be changing planes in Charlotte.

I fly mostly US Airways and Continental with the preference to the latter, but more then happy on US Airways. They're a legacy carrier so you get what you get, not too many perks, but they do offer upgrades to first for a charge (so does Continental). Meals are only on flights over 3.5 Hours.

CLT is the hub for US Airways, so if you miss a connection or anything, it's easy to get on another flight or get rerouted (the airport isn't that bad either).

CLT is a good hub for US. Stay away from PHL. It's a short flight for you, so the lack of IFE will not make a difference.

They have baggage fees, probably the same as Delta. No free snacks (Delta has choice of cookies, pretzels or peanuts).

Last few flights in US Airways coach (short trips), I was given pretzels (and I think only for a short time in 2008 or early 2009 was I not offered anything on this particular route) and a drink, this was in February, they also had snacks (larger/more substantial) available for purchase.

I've been flying US Express (or Southwest) lately, but have a couple mainline flights coming up. Have they updated the interiors to the blue leather seats? Also, I remember hearing something about WiFi being added, anyone know the status (flying on the A321 and B734). Thanks!

You can pay your baggage fees online prior to your flight. Otherwise, if you wait until you get to the airport the fee is higher.
