URGENT QUESTION: Towels for Swimming?

Have hit the packing crunch and am freaking out just a bit Do we need to take towels for swimming? I think I remember reading once that you can't use the towels from your room. Do they have towels at the pools? What if you're pool hopping? HELP!

no need to pack towels!

I can only speak for SSR....but there is "window" which was unattended, but had plenty of towels ready for the taking. Those towels seem to be a bit different than the room towels at SSR...with a kind of ribbing/striping running along the length.

We got one for each family member, dropped them on a couple of chairs by the pool side and went for a dip. When my wife and I got out of the pool, several teenagers had acquired our chairs and towels. I suspect they thought towels were put out there by staff for use. Anyway, there were no shortage of chairs...or towels, so I retrieved another four towels and we staked out our new position.

Not to worry on this one.

Woo hoo! One less thing to take - though I do have two "special" towels for the boys. The Easter Bunny brought them each a Disney towel - Stitch and Nemo : ) I can't resist packing those, but the rest of us will just be on our own. Thanks for responding so quickly. And I hope to be done and in the bed soon. I'm about to fall over!

You only need towels if you are going to a water park. You can either bring your own to BB or TL, or you could rent them, but they do not provide free towels at BB & TL.

Actually, when we go to BB or TL, we take the pool towels from our resort, use them at the water park and then return to the towel return bins back at our resort.

That way, we don't have to pack towels, we are not using room towels, we don't have to pay for towels, and we always return them to the original resort.

You can even use all the pool towels you want back at yor room if you don't feel like washing the ones there. We like to get several arm fulls and then spread them out on the floor for a few extra beds for our 9 in a one bedroom. They make comfortable extra beds.

I bring some towels home with me (to Colorado).This is ok as long as you return them on your next trip (oh, but please do wash them before returning).
