Urgent Help Needed Regarding Airport

Expedia just showed us a direct flight into orange county airport.
Is this a close enough and an easy enough drive to DL? We'd rent a car...not taking shuttle. Our other direct option is LAX... and I know its a drive. Driving advice would be appreciate very much! THANKS!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!

I believe Orange County is the closest airport to DL. It's a nice, small airport that is easy to get around. I would guestimate the drive at less than 30 minutes, MUCH better than from LAX. I never drive it myself as I always take a shuttle, but I think it is a fairly easy drive (as easy as the SoCal freeway can be) with good signs pointing the way.

Orange County,John Wayne is SNA and the closest to DLR.

We're flying into SNA on Monday. According to Mapquest, the drive could be as quick as 20 minutes - just 55 to I-5 to Katella.

I did the LAX drive. I hated it (and we did at 10:00 on a Monday night). There were jams, and it took almost as long to get from terminal to National Emerald Aisle as it did to get from National to Disneyland.

You hit the mother lode. Go for it!

We fly into SNA (Orange County) every time we go to DL. It's definitely no more than a 30 minute drive. It usually only takes us 20. The car rental counters are right next to the baggage claim and the cars are right outside the door just across the walkway! We rent every year as well. The airport has a great website that will tell you which rental companies are on-site. It's www.ocair.com. One tip for your return trip: When you go to return your rental car, drive straight through the airport (like you're going to the car rental return but then just keep going and exit the airport) and there will be a gas station right across the street. Then it's an easy entrance right back into the airport to return the car. Sounds much more complicated than it is. It's definitely the closest place to fill up though. Good luck and have fun!

Its not a bad drive. You might also check into Long Beach airline. I saw some good rates from Seattle yesterday. Long beach is about a mile more then SNA, but its an easier drive. You can get to Long beach airport with out getting on the freeway.
