They are opening an Urban Active Gym very close to my home. They are new to the area, so I don't know anyone who has been a member there. Does anyone have any experience with this gym? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kim

We have urban active here,They were good for awhile then some of them cut all the classes out and childcare too. so i would say beware.
My niece is a personal trainer at one.

I belong to 2 gyms in my area and Urban Active is one of them. In this area they are the old Gold's Gyms. I do really like it. Both of the UA gyms in the area have a lot of equipment (I use free weights and cables exclusively), dedicated spinning rooms, studio rooms for classes (I don't take them so don't know if they are any good), and lap pools. The lap pools are really nice because you get your own lane and don't have to worry about dodging people or kids when you are doing timed laps.

Thanks for the answers. I had heard about the cancelling of classes and child care at some of the gyms. They are building the new gym from the ground up in a new construction area. Hopefully they will have a pool. Are their prices reasonable?
