my 12 year old has a friend who moved out of our neighborhood in June, and now lives about 20 minutes away from here. dd has kept up a freindship with the other girl.

today dd was at the girl's house for the first time in about two months. when I drove over there to pick up dd, the other girl's parents were so happy that dd had come over. they'd spent the last 3 days at a local hospital with their younger dd.

she was diagnosed with cancer in september, just when school was about to start.

I am so sorry to hear that, Briar Rose. My prayers are with this family. May the Lord give them all strength to last the coming days and a peace to calm their fears.

So sorry to hear this news, I know the anguish these parents are going through. Many years ago my oldest daughter had cancer.

I also will be praying for her and her parents.

Very sad indeed, BR. My prayers will be with that little girl. We know miracles can and do happen. Best wishes.

That is so terribly sad :( My thoughts and prayers are with this girl and her family.

The saddest thing you can ever hear is to hear about a very ill child.

I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayers said. One of my nephews (11yo) recently passed his 2yr cancer free anniversary. He's doing great, there have been many advances in fighting cancer but it is a battle very hard on the kids who fight it.

So sorry to hear that, BR. Lots of good thoughts and pixie dust on the way for the little one.

I HATE HATE HATE Cancer!
Especially when children have to go thru this.
That is why I give to St.Judes Hospital.
They do such good work there for young people and their families.
Sending my prayers also.

That is so sad. I don't get why kids get cancer or any life threatening diseases, they deserve a good life without pain and heartache. I guess my problems are small and that is when I take a new look at the way my life is and is headed. :(
