I am thinking about making some drapes and have been looking up fabrics. ( I've got a new sewing machine and I need a project.:D ) The fabrics for home decoration all say to dry clean only and I am wondering if it's really necessary or just recommended.

TIA!:sunny:

You may have trouble with colors bleeding or the fabric shrinking. You could try laundering a swatch of the fabric just to see. Also I've used those home drycleaning kits with a lot of success. That might work for you.

Thanks for the suggestion, CEDmom. I'll wash the swatches and see. BTW, your daughter is adorable.
