Can someone explain the difference between UPH and the new tickets when staying on site. Friends of mine our staying in April at Animal Kingdom with hoppers included in the price. I think disney is charging her too much. Are there any codes? Also, can she not be charged to use hopper pass on the day arriving and day leaving? I don't know very much because I usually book everything separately. She booked a package.

If your friend booked her trip with a package then she probably has the "length of stay" passes, which means she is able to go to the park on the day she arrives and leaves. There is no way to change this. It is one of the things I don't like about the package booking. However, I usually end up at the parks on the day of arrival and departure.

You are right, she does have the length of stay tickets. I wonder is the new tickets would be better. I can't remember what they are called. I wonder is she can book these instead.

The new tickets are called Magic Your Way. I don't know if she can change them, but it might be worth a call to Disney reservations or whoever she booked her trip with. The new tickets would definitely be cheaper for her if she is not planning on going on those 2 days.

I thought people were allowed to switch over the old packages to the new ones. We always had UPH and the new MYW tickets are much, much cheaper. I would have them call and ask. I read somewhere on another thread that someone changed a Dream Maker package to the new MYW package.
