Upgrading to Power Pass during/after black out period

Forgive me if this has been asked before... I'm planning to purchase a Power Pass for my daughter, but we may want to start our trip at the very end of the April blackout period. If I was to purchase her a 2 day pass so we could go to the park on Friday, would I still be able to upgrade that to a Power Pass on Saturday?

Yes. You just won't be able to use it during the blackout period. Once it is converted you can only use it during non-blackout periods. The normal ticket can be used during black-out. You'll have to convert it after you are done for the day if you convert it on a black-out day.

To add to what Damo said, you can upgrade it, at the inside Guest Relations on a Blackout date and stay in the park for the rest of the day. You just won't be able to exit and reenter or ride the Hogwarts Express between parks. I converted my ticket to a power pass on January 2nd (a blackout date) inside the park in the middle of the day and stayed most of the rest of the day in the park. I also wanted to active my Annual photo pass Star Card.

johde, that's a great upgrading detail. It would be kind of awkward for UOR to bum-rush you out of the park right after upgrading your ticket/pass. Not being able to go on HE also makes sense since you then don't have a valid pass to enter IOA.
