Upgrading to Park to Park Tickets

Can you upgrade single park tickets to park to park while you are there? I'm asking because my Brother & SIL are going for two days. They are staying on site and are not HP fans at all so I don't think they will spend a full day at IOA. But I would hate to advise them to get the park to park tickets if they don't use them. So I'm hoping that if they get done with IOA early, they can just upgrade to park to park so they can go back to US for a while.
