Upgrading to AP and Magic Morning

My son and I will be visiting a Thursday to Saturday in February. I wanted to save our MM for Saturday when the crowds find it harder to get up for 7 am, but I am thinking of upgrading to an AP to use for discounts (and a summer trip). Has anyone received anything that will let them keep their MM even though the person has an AP?

Nope...your choice is use the Magic Morning on you parkhopper or upgrade to AP and get the discounts...no way to do both other than use your MM then go and upgrade to the AP that morning before you make any purchases.

We had thought of doing the same thing when we bought our APs years ago - but we ended up buying them before our trip as there was a price increase on the horizon - that is likely not the case right now as the prices were just increased. You have to use your MM before you upgrade to the AP. APs are great though - we saved a LOT of money with hotel and dining and tours with ours over two long trips.

Agree with others, not possible. Our last trip was Sun-Fri. We used our MM on Tuesday, then that afternoon upgraded to AP so we only lost 2 1/2 days of discounts. I was successful in adding the PP photos from Sun & Mon & Tues prior to upgrading to my Signature AP (which I got solely for the PP pictures, the rest of the family got the regular $599 AP).

When we bought our APs last February, the night we got there we had to upgrade because the price was going up the next day. I spoke to the lady at the window and asked if that meant I lost my Magic Morning. She upgraded our hoppers to APs and gave us each a MM voucher for the day we would have used it on had we not upgraded. We just used that with our passes to get into MM that Thursday.

Regular park hoppers did not get an increase at the same time and are due any time. I'm assuming the OP has purchased her tickets, but if she hasn't, it would be smart to do so ASAP.

If you just have 2 trips planned, it would be cheaper to buy tickets vs. APs since one of the trips is for 3 days. If yoy want the discounts that bad, i would just have one person get it.
