Upgrading tickets question

If I wanted to upgrade a 1 day base childs ticket that I'll purchase with my resort reservation will they just subtract the price I paid for the ticket from the cost of the new ticket? How does that work??

As long as the ticket hasn't been used, they will apply what you have already paid to the new ticket. Just give the ticket to the CM and they should be able to do everything for you.
