Upgrading ticket bought thru orbitz

Yes. I just did it this weekend using orbitz tickets I bought last Feb. I bought the 3 day park hoppers, get 4th day free passes. Turned them in on Sat to exchange for a SoCal Select Pass and received a blockout ticket so I could go in the park that day. Just paid $4/ticket for the difference from the 4day PH to the select passes.

Just be aware that you will be paying the difference between what you paid and the cost of the upgraded ticket. So if you purchased the ticket for $10 less than the gate price, you don't retain that discount when upgrading.

This is not exactly true. When I upgraded my 3+1 day PH from Orbitz to a PAP in July, I did keep the discount from the free 4th day.

Like another person said, they took full credit for mine 2 weeks ago. I bought a 4+1 ticket, and I got the full cost of a 5 day hopper ticket as credit.

I remember reading in the forums, that if you use your park hopper at least once you will get full credit, so I did it that way, but not entirely sure if that is true or not.

Don't forget to use Ebates as well for extra cashback!!!! Another tip is that the cashback is higher in Chepatickets which is a sister company of Orbitz.

I bought mine this way and got 6.88% cashback posted to my account the next day. Payment will be until Feb 15 but still is great!

I was just trying to find out ticket prices on cheaptickets and although I can find where it tells you about them I can't find where you can buy them or where the prices are. Does anyone know how to do that? Has anyone had the experience of upgrading cheapticket disney tickets into AP's? I know people are saying they have done it through Orbitz which is a sister company. I'm wondering if it will work the same way where the discount carries over into the price of the ap?

Yes, I also upgraded a 3+1 PH but to a southern cal select pass and got to keep the discount from the 4th day. I saved $77/pass. (20% cash back through ebates, bought before price increase, used gift card from target for difference in price).

I used Ebates for the original ticket....is there a way to upgrade the ticket to an annual pass thru Ebates and Orbitz? The savings there would make my head spin!

I don't think there is a way to upgrade to ap's through ebates. That would be cool.
