Oh please please please say this can happen...

I've bought 8 day Ultimate Park Hopper passes with my reservations for October (included in FTP). Is it possible to upgrade these to Annual Passes (with the understanding that I will lose the UPH "extras")?

I just realized exactly how much the AP could save me in the event that I go back to WDW next year! Not having to pay for park tickets again, AND saving about a bazillion dollars on the room??? SHEESH! Where have I BEEN?

As far as I know, UPH tickets that are a part of a package ca not be upgraded, but if you bought them at check in, you could. This is what I have been told, I have tried to upgrade a UPH that I purchased at check in and they did allow an upgrade to a premium annual pass at that time. The only problem I see, is that a PAP does not include DQ whereas a UPH does. If you used a DQ entry on your UPH, they may not allow the upgrade.

PAP does include the water parks, DQ and WWS the AP doesn't include these. If you haven't been here already I would just contact Disney and have then cancel the UPH and re-purchase the AP that you want. Be ready to put the purchase on your credit card because they will charge at that time.

I would do, but the UPH is part of the FTP which I purchased through expedia... I don't think I can cancel the UPH portion of the package...

C'est la vie -- I'll get the AP next year and take advantage of the discounts then. Thanks for your help!

Im almost positive you can upgrade those to annual passes. Try asking at a guest relations location when you arrive. I have personally upgraded this type of ticket before and you should be able to upgrade it within 30 days of the first use, no matter how many days are left on it. More questions please ask.

Just a note here, IF you are able to upgrade the passes, you'll only get credit for what you PAID for the passes. Since you used the FT package, you only paid for a 5 day/4 night UPH and got 3 nights free. So, if you CAN upgrade, you'll only get a credit of $265.19 per adult pass and have to pay for an AP, which is $392.99. Resulting in you owing $127.80 per pass, if this allowed.
