We truly can't decide whether to schedule a second vacation to WDW within a year. I went ahead and bought my AP to get the hotel rate, then I ordered the rest of the family 10 day MYW ticket with parkhopping from ticketmania. I've told the family that we'll decide after a few days at the World whether we want to upgrade to APs or not.
So, when and if we upgrade, will Disney be able to "tell" I got the MYW tickets at a discount? Will they charge me the AP rate less (a) the gate price for the MYW, (b) the Disney advance purchase price for the MYW, or (c) the ticketmania price for the MYW?
Also, I read (I think in the Passporter) that you had to upgrade within 7 days of using your regular tickets. Of course, that paragraph said within 7 days of using your "Parkhoppers" [Is anybody else disappointed at how little updating the Passporters folks did?], so I didn't know whether that is accurate or not.
Must you upgrade within 7 days, or just before your tickets expire?
