toying with the idea of upgrading from economy on our florida flights in october

were flying with thomson out of newcastle.

has anyone done this and is it worth it? its only an extra £700 for all 4 of us.

I was thinking of doing that for our flights with Aer lingus not sure if its worth it though. But the extra baggage allowance might be nice.

Have never flown with tomson so cant really comment. What extras do you get? Do you get seat back tv's with the upgrade? You hv to weigh up if the money could be better spent else where like a day at DC or upgrading ur accomodation if you wanted. Sorry dont know where ur staying. We upgraded to PE with virgin and I personally didnt warrent the extra money apart from the bit extra legroom and flying in the bubble. I know a lot love it. Have a look at wht you are getting for your buck. Sorry cant help anymore.

you get a bigger seat back tv. from 7" with economy to 9" with and upgrade. the seats are a little bigger. you get complimentary drinks the whole flight and a choice of meals. i think thats all. oh im assuming you get on the plane first.

im not sure. i still dont know what to do. grrrr to my indecision!

I would want a lot more than that for £700;) I would much rather spend that money elsewhere, but that's a personal choice. Wishes Cruise, Discovery Cove, Night at HRH, upgrade accommodation, BBB for my girls, Behind the Scenes experience....sorry, you've got me day-dreaming about what I'd spend your money on lol.

we'v upgraded our August flights. We deliberated for ages but once the seed of upgrading had been planted I think it was always going to happen. I'm sure I could think of much better ways to spend the money but we just added it in to the total cost of the holiday and tried not to think of it as a seperate cost.

My real worry is that once we've tried it we won't want to go back to economy and for us this is meant to be a strictly one off treat!

We upgraded last time with Monarch Airlines. Got seatback entertainment, leather seats that were wider and with more space and free drinks.

We only needed the extra space, I am 6' 2" and therefore there was no way I was going in economy after the experience I had on the trip before that. (Tiny seats+Long legs= Dead knees.)

We thought it was worth it. Think of it as £350 each way.
