upgrading at resort

We are booked for ASMo in two weeks. When we arrive I was going to ask the CM if we could upgrade to another hotel.

I am worried that I may offend them. I don't want them to think that the ASMo isn't good enough for me. I just want to see how much it would cost to upgrade when we arrive.

I guess I am hoping for some really special deal!!

Has anyone every changed resorts when they we checking into another one?

Why not just try to get a good rate at a different resort now?

I doubt that CM will offer a "great" rate at another resort.

From what I've seen on other threads, CM's are only able to quote rack rates. If you want to change resorts, I'd definitely try to see what codes are available before your trip and make the move before going down. Wouldn't want you to be disappointed if you have your heart set on staying somewhere else.

Most upgrades are just within the same resort.

I don't think I have heard of anyone trying to upgrade to another resort upon check-in unless there was a problem with the resort,room,etc. I think just upgrades to better rooms/views at the same resort.
