We purchased 4 park DVC AP on May 7th and we are planning our trip next year for April 29 thru May 7th. Has anyone had any success upgrading an AP for the last few days of your pass to a Premium AP? I would love to have WP on my pass next year, especially if it is only a small fee! I would not be interested in upgrading if it meant getting the next yrs pass, as we will not return until the next year.

Thanks for the help :flower:

If you already bought your AP at the DVC discount, the only option for upgrading is to pay the full cost difference between the discounted AP and PAP. And the expiration date on your pass will remain the same.

In other words, they won't just charge you 1/12 of the upgrade cost if you only have one month left on your pass--the charge will be the full difference between the two passes. According to allearsnet.com, the discounted AP is $314, while the discounted PAP is $415. You would have to pay $101 per pass to upgrade, even though you'd only get a few days' use from the PAP before it expired.

Sorry, but the system is designed to keep people from doing basically what you suggest. If they prorated the upgrade costs, you could probably get a couple weeks of waterpark and DisneyQuest access for just a couple dollars. It don't work that way...
