Upgrading an Airmiles Universal Orlando ticket to Annual Pass

We have Universal Orlando tickets we got with Airmiles a couple of years ago that we have not used. We are going in January and would like to upgrade them to annual passes.

Has anyone been successful doing this? Anything we should know?

What about adding days to Universal tickets from Airmiles?

Yes, we did that in September. No issues whatsoever. We found that they credited us gate price for the tickets, so the upgrade cost was quite low.

We actually upgrade first to extra days and then to an AP, so both are possible.
