I currently have an 8 day Park Hopper Water Parks & More Pass. I am considering upgrading to an Annual Pass. How much more would it cost me to upgrade to an AP? I got a unique code for a PHWP & M upgrade so I don't know how much my tickets cost to know how much more it would be to upgrade. And I don't know how to go about figuring the most economical way I should do my reservation. Right now we have two reservations -
Reservation 1 - Me and my 3 boys in All Star Sports with 8 Day PHWP&M and DxDP and Memory Maker
Reservation 2 - Hubby with 8 day PHWP&M without the dining plan

We are toying around with upgrading to AP. Maybe dropping one night in order to save money to help pay for the AP. An 8 day ticket with WP&M is $505.88 but I'm wondering if they are valued at that since I got a free PHWP&M upgrade with the unique pin.

Is it smartest to upgrade before we leave to save on Memory Maker since Photo Pass comes with AP?
Also getting AP now means we could use the 25% AP room only discount. But then we'd have to pay for the two days we're going to the water parks so does that even make sense?
Or do we wait til our last day and upgrade to AP so we get the free upgrade to water parks and get 8 extra days on our AP? But then we don't get to use the 25% AP room discount.

Any thoughts on the best way to do this? I hate that I'm always trying to get the very most perfect best of all time use of my money and time. Lol!

Another question - if we wait until the end of our trip to upgrade so we can use the water parks upgrade this trrip and get 8 extra days added to the AP for next year, how would the Memory Maker work? Would we still have to pay for the MM for this trip or could we have them take the pictures and apply them toward the MM we'll get when we purchase the AP at the end of our trip?

2 things:

If you use the waterpark entitlements you will have to upgrade to an AP with waterpark access

Any time you upgrade your tickets to APs your AP expires one year after you first used the ticket, not when you upgrade it

Also to figure out how much it would cost simply subtract the current price of an 8 day PHWP&M ticket from the cost of an AP

Some of the questions were already answer. Depends where/ when you got the tickets from to figure cost. So the only question I can answer without more information is the MM. You won't need to buy one if you upgrade. We upgraded our tickets to AP in April and the pictures of my October and December trip are showing still.
