Wondering if I can upgrade Airmiles tickets once at US/IOA to cheaply add a 3rd day? I'm trying to see if I should buy the 3rd day free option from the Universal site or order the Airmiles 2-day tickets after arrival.

Yes, you can upgrade Airmiles tickets. We did it in September. It works the same way as at WDW.

Where is the best place to do this? Can you do it at a resort?

No, you have to do it at guest services at one of the parks. We did it inside the park at the Studios. Guest services is on the right hand side after you go into the park.

Is there any place outside of the park to upgrade? my problem is that I got my tickets last year and never made it there. 1 ticket is for a child(who was 9 at the time) but now needs an adult ticket.

I have a 7-day park to park Air Miles ticket that I was wondering if I can upgrade to a 14 day Orlando Flex Ticket. Is that possible?

Here now - just to confirm we had no problems upgrading our 2 day PTP Airmiles tickets . In fact, we swapped them for "power pass" tickets for the same price (ie: we paid no extra money between the 2 day PTP and the Annual Power pass". They are good for a year from now, with some blackout dates. We swapped them at the guest Services at the back of US, between Diagon Alley and MIB. No issues at all. Just bring photo ID.

Great news. I will plan on upgrading my 7-day one to an AP. I can purchase different tickets for SeaWorld and Aquatica.

squirrel, do your transaction at the guest service inside the park.

Why? I'm arriving early on Sept. 4th after a red-eye flight. I don't want to use the ticket unless I know for sure it can be upgraded to an AP. As we would only spend 2-3 hours at the parks on the 4th if upgrade is possible. If it's not, I don't want to start my 7 consecutive days right away. My niece will have a Flex ticket so she can go anytime as we have 9 nights at CB.

Wow, I can't believe I was already planning this trip back in May 2015.
