Upgrading a MYW ticket?

I have a question about upgrading a MYW ticket. I know they tell you that you can upgrade (add parkhopper, etc) at any time prior to the last day on the pass, but I was kinda wondering how that works with the no expiration option.

For example, say I buy a 10 day MYW park hopper ticket with an expiration date. I get to Disney, use the pass for 5 days and then decide I want to add the no expiration option. Would they charge me the price based on a 10 day ticket or the remaining 5 days?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The no-expiry addon price is based on the original number of days on the pass. So you would pay the cost of adding no-expiry to a 10-day pass, even if there are only 5 days remaining.

PS- all upgrades (additional days, hopping, w/p fun and/or no-expiry) must be made within 14 days of the inital use of the pass.

I just talked to Disney and:
They say that you CAN upgrade your MYW/no expiry tix outside the 14 day of first use. If I do this, do they look at today's prices and take the difference in the 2 tix for upgrade? For example, we have 2 7-day MYW no expiry w'hopping from 10/05. We've used 5 days. If we increase this to 10 days, will they take what our 7 day MYW is sold for now, subtract from the cost of the 10 day now. Or do they take the the value that I originally paid for the tix of the price of the today outrageously priced 10 day? TIA
