Upgrading a 5 Day PH to a 6 Day?

I have seen some information posted about this, but my situation is that I ordered 5 day PHs online, have received them via mail, and would now like to add a 6th day. I have talked to WDTC and the box office and am getting conflicting information. My best option appears to be to trade up at the box office in person when I get out there, but they sounded far from confident that this would work. One rep in Anaheim suggested mailing back my PHs and getting new ones sent out - hate that idea.

Anyway, any ideas on this - thanks - less than 2 months now!

If you trade up at the box office, you will not get the advance purchase price. You will have to pay the difference up to their ticket booth price for a 6 day which I think is more than an AP. I would just upgrade to a deluxe AP if that is the case, then you get food discounts too!

Take your tickets to the travel office in DTD. They will upgrade them for you there. You can do it any time during the 5 days your ticket is valid. They will charge you the difference, which should be $10 per person per day. They are open daily.

hlbtimes2, they sell the discounted park hoppers in DTD for advance purchase prices? If not, then if the OP probably paid the discounted price and then would be charged the difference to the non-discounted. For instance, in April, I bought a 4 day hopper at the parks for $209, which would have been only about $159 if purchased ahead.

If they do sell them and upgrade at the advance purchase prices, then thank you, I need to start buying them there!!!

I dont think you can walk into the travel office and buy a discounted hopper, however they do add days on at just the cost difference. Its $20 to go from a 3 to 4 day. Then each day after that is $10. You have to add the extra day before the end of the last day your ticket is valid. So, if you have a 3 day hopper, you need to get into the travel office before 5 pm on that 3rd day.

$10 more dollars puts you at the price of a deluxe AP, and you will probably save more than that on food!! If you don't have a blockout day during your trip, I'd totally do the AP!

Are you sure you paid that much for them? Advance purchase price for 5 days should have been $189 adult/ 159 kids. I would double check your confirmation. They may have already sold you tickets for a longer stay.

Hlbtimes - you are correct - I did pay the 189/159 price. So, you still think for $10 more per pass, I can get the 6th day? Thanks for your help by the way.

We would look into annual passes, but we are there during blackout periods in August.
