Upgrades at Port Canaveral? Anyone?

Ships are running full more often. I just got off the 10 night southern Caribbean and we were full. Sign said no upgrades or changes available

We’ve sailed twice on the fantasy this year - January and April. On both cruises, there was a sign stating ship was full, no upgrades available.

We were able to for our spring break cruise on the Fantasy in March, but I think that may have been because everyone was doing the disney plus deal then which wasn’t available in concierge, so concierge was pretty empty in the weeks leading up to sailing.

When I sailed last month the ship was full. When I sailed in January, there were open staterooms.

We did it last November. The sign was out at the desk but we filled out paperwork right when we got on the ship at guest services. We stated we wanted to move from aft to forward and was willing to pay. We got called at 4:00pm with an offer to upgrade. It was $75 total from an aft 7A deck 5 to forward 7A deck 6. We missed the sailaway party and had to move everything ourselves (never saw any hosts the few hours we were on deck 5) but it was worth it. We don’t have kids and frequent the adult areas and spa which are all forward. If the sign is out at the desk, always ask right when you get on the ship.

We upgraded at port May 2022 but again that’s when there was still testing and vaccination stuff happening so the ships weren’t full. We paid $147 to go from an 8B to 6B same deck and forward. They printed our new room key cards right at the port desk and we gave back the ones outside the door for the group that didn’t show.
