Upgraded from 7 to 4 using DVC points!

DH and I leave for a Disney cruise on 10/10. We used some of our points for a cat 7. I got a message today that we have been upgraded to a cat 4 on the 8th deck!!!! WOW, what a great upgrade! Made it more worthwhile using our points. See, sometimes good things happen to DVC members!

Congratulations, that is a fabulous upgrade!

Upgrades (complimentary) are not too common, but we love hearing about them when folks post about it. Whether booking on cash (DCL) or on points (DVC) they are pretty random.

I do love hearing about a fellow DIS'er & DVC Member having such fantastic luck! Hope you enjoy your cruise!

Woot! A Cat 4 is nice. Live vicariously through all you others as we're never quite so lucky. But happy other are.

Like the other poster said, it is random. When I called member services to make sure I heard the message correctly, the CM said that it is a random drawing and she was surprised that we went from a 7 to a 4! Once before we were upgraded to a huge handicapped room at the back of the ship. The veranda would have held at least 25 people. But this is better. One my first cruise, I went to the DVC sales talk and won $300 on board credit! I must have DVC cruise luck!
