We have been offered an upgrade for our trip in August to the Yacht Club or Boardwalk both standard rooms. Which would you choose? We are a family of 5 adults: myself, DH, 3 young adult “kids”. TIA!

Definitely yaht club if you spend a lot of time at the pool.
Out of curiosity, how did you get this offer? Where were you booked?

We were booked at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I got a phone call today and they said they no longer had a room to accommodate our party (5 adults). I had read that they were having issues with the Murphy beds, some I’m thinking maybe that’s why?
Whatever the reason we are truly grateful for the rare upgrade- our only shot at a deluxe resort lol!

No. They were having issues with a couple of the Murphy Beds at the Riviera Resort. No issues at CBR. However, CBR and POR are not allowing 5 adults in the rooms with Murphy Beds going forward. Losing too much $$ on free dining with 5 adults in one room. This has been in the works for a couple months now.

Both are great, but we prefer Boardwalk. We love everything about it and it has THE best pool slide on property. Especially for us "kids" at heart.

We love both but it's the BW for us.

It's so lively and so much fun for adults! Not sure if your young adults are 21 and over, but the dueling piano bar is a must for us. We also really like the outdoor seating area at Big River. There is always so many people out and about, the people watching is fantastic!

My older teens thought the YC was very adult. It did feel more adultish to me and it was very quiet. Not that our BW rooms have ever been noisy, but the whole resort just felt quiet.

We stayed at the YC last summer and loved it. You can't beat the pool there! My kids were 19, 17, and 12 at the time and did not find it stuffy at all.

I don't think YC is stuffy but my young adult kids prefer BWI because it does seem a bit more lively in that area. The pool is nice at YC/BC but it is FULL of little kids. Young adults will enjoy walking over to Epcot WS and hanging out there more than the pool, ime.

Yacht Club!! My teens love it there! There‘s a quiet pool at YC which we go to sometimes, but overall we’ve never been bothered by the number kids at YC/BC pool.

And, you can be at all the BW fun in minutes.

Hi
Will you please clarify if you are referring to a Disney adult (age 10) or an actual adult (age 18) in reference to not allowing 5 in a room at Caribbean Beach and Riverside? We are a family of 5 with 3 children and would love to know if this will effect us moving forward. Thanks!

Definitely YC! My teens love the resort and SAB. It isn’t stuffy at all or we wouldn’t stay there.

YC for sure, no question. The pool alone is worth it in August, and it's a super easy walk to the Boardwalk area anyway. I'm jealous of your upgrade!!!!

You can't go wrong with either one. My heart belongs to YC but I've stayed at BW probably as much as I've stayed there. YC does feel very adult to me, maybe that's why I love it, my kid is fully grown. BW is a beautiful resort, both have nice big pools and nice quiet pools. I'm one of the few people who actually don't like the big pool at YC, too many kids, too loud, almost impossible to find a seat. The clown pool at BW is crowded as well but did seem a little less busy, at least around the hot tub and bar area.

I like BW far better as the views are terrific and I love the whole vibe better. The pool was not a big draw for me as the BW slide is a favorite of my grandson . he loves the community hall and game room and the movies on the green . I don't think you can go wrong with either but given a choice its BW for us.
