Upgrade to Premium Economy with Virgin Airmiles

Does anyone know if there is a timeframe that Virgin release seats in Premium Economy that can be purchased with Airmiles?

We are already booked in Economy but I have enough miles to upgrade us to Premium - just wondered if it might be possible. I phoned yesterday and none had been released - do I need to KEEP ringing or is there are way of finding out when they come out?

Firstly your ticket will need to be of the correct class to upgrade (Y,B,R,L,U,M) otherwise you will have to pay to upgrade to the correct class of ticket. It may not be cost effective to do this as sometimes the correct class of Econ ticket is nearly as expensive as a cheap PE seat.

Second reward fares need to be available in PE. You can check online for reward fares but they are never many on the MCO route - you will just need to check all the time and be ready to grab them when and if they become available.

You can keep trying but i wouldn't get my hopes up they don't release many PE seats as reward tickets.
