We are stayig at the All Star Movies for 7 nights in August. Has anyone asked for discounted rates at moderate of deluxe resorts when checking in to the All Stars and been offered a good rate? I wonder if WDW is keen to encourage you to spend more money by an impulse decision to upgrade your resort if you are offered a discount there and then?

Regards

I don't think you can really do that. If you want to change your ressies for a better deal, then you need to do it within the 45 or 5 day time before you trip starts, so you don't get penalized. I would watch these boards for codes and make your changes before you get there. The best you could probably hope to do once there is to upgrade within the resort you are staying.

It does not hurt to try;) ! In fact people used to be able to do this at the Welcome Center in Ocala. You can't count on it, but they could be overbooked for your night and would welcome it with a good rate:D ! I know people have changed their minds and resorts after they arrive, just no guarantee of availability or a discount. If you don't ask, you will not know!
Maybe you will qualify for one of the new codes we hope will be released this week and can upgrade before your trip:cool: !
