 Alright....curious for some thoughts here!

I booked POP for next month back in late May. As a FL resident, I was looking forward to the chance at getting a good code. The codes that came out for my time period for POP equated to being the exact price I already had with my AAA discount. :sad2: I had really hoped to book a moderate with the codes, but they just weren't all that great.

So I sit here and now ponder if it is really worth it to spend an extra $200 just to upgrade to CSR from POP for the 4 nights we are at WDW. Last year, we stayed at POFQ, and while nice, I was hoping for a bit more. From the pics I see of CSR, I like what I see.

So would you do it? It is really worth it?

Thanks!

If you are someone who will spend a good portion of time at the resort and the theming, etc. is worth $200, you should upgrade. We've stayed at both resorts and, while CSR is very nice, we would choose Pop over CSR. We basically use the resort as a place to shower and sleep. We spend most of our time at the theme parks, water parks, etc., so it is not worth the extra money for a place to sleep.

On trips where we're going with family and intend to use the resort amenities more, then I have upgraded and felt it was worth the extra expense.

I think it depends on what your trip will be like.

For $200.00, I would definitely switch to CSR. CSR definitely has that bit more of POFQ. I would go for it.

I actually made the decision to downgrade from CSR to POP. I have never stayed at either. While I think CSR is beautiful (from the pictures), I am not at the resort for much more than sleeping and an occasional swim. If I was going for a longer trip, I would probably have paid the extra but not for 3 or 4 days.

I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend at the resort vs in the parks.

I have stayed at all the All Stars and at POR. I definintely prefer the moderate resort but it all comes down to $$$$$

I'd do it in a heartbeat! Have fun either way!!

It is well worth it. CSR is my favorite resort, it has the best food court and bus transportation. Also a great pool area. Check out Buzz's website for pictures and all things CSR.

We just returned from a trip and we stayed at the POP and hated it and we have always stayed in a value resort. We loved the All Star Movies resort when we stayed on a prior visit and were excited to try the POP. The rooms although supposedly newer seemed very rundown and our bedding was ripped and not very clean. We were there 5 nights and literally killed 6 very large spiders in the bathroom and around the beds. The walls are very thin and the pools are not that great compared to some of the ones we've seen at other hotels. We are not in our room very much so typically we just need the basics but even the basics here were disappointing to us and the bug situation was just unacceptable. I don't know about the other resorts but this one had that terrible soft water which was annoying as well.

Me and spiders is not a good combo!

I realize it can happen at any of the resorts, but your experience doesn't sit well with me!

I think I might do it.. I think I think I think...
