Upgrade from 10 Day Value Hopper to Annual Pass

I am hoping someone can help with this question. Disney has the 10 day ticket option where you can select the first day of use and depending on the day selected you receive certain pricing. My question is if I purchase a 10 day hopper and select a first day of use but then decide that I want to upgrade to an AP later on BEFORE the first day of use would I loose my Fast Pass selections?

The wording on the WDW site says:

'If you change ticket dates and you previously made FastPass+ selections, you will need to make new FastPass+ selections (if available) for any new dates you’ll be visiting the parks.'​

My concern is that if I change to an AP before the first day selected on the 10 Day hopper potentially our FP selections will be removed. Has anyone made this change with the new structure of tickets and be willing to share your experience and feedback?​

This is not true. A ticket can be upgraded prior to first use. There is no impact to the upgrade value.

As long as you maintain tickets covering your park days (and an onsite reservation if you booked FP+ 60 days out), your FP+ selections will remain. No problem. You can call Disney to try and make the change, or wait until you are onsite. Once you enter a park, I believe you should have an option to upgrade to an AP directly through MDE.
