Is upgrading between legs on a B2B a thing? Concierge is showing sold out on the first leg, but there’s availability on the second.
Has anyone ever done this or tried to do this? Obviously we’d lose the convenience of staying in the same room, but doing concierge again could be fun too.

Certainly it's do-able. DCL will be happy to take more money from you. :)
Are you talking about upgrading your reservation on the second leg now? Or asking for an upgrade at the port (well, actually while on the first cruise)?

Haha. Yes. I’m sure they’d be willing to consider taking more money.
I’m thinking of in the port between leg 1 and leg 2. I know we have to debark and check in again, so I wonder if I can inquire about upgrade availability when we are transitioning between sailings.

Yes, if there's availability, they are doing day of embarkation upgrades. Not sure whether it's at the desk in the port, or onboard (it's been reported both ways), but you check in for your regular room and then go to the supervisor's desk to ask.

The supervisor's desk is in the terminal. You upgrade at port, not onboard the ship.

Of course, that means packing and unpacking and rechecking your luggage and all that. Meh.

That was true, and sometimes is true now. But since the restart there have been reports of folks told to check with Guest Services onboard for an upgrade. So ask in the terminal but you could be directed onboard.

We did this on our last Dream B2B. We were in a Aft Extended Balcony. I picked it specifically.

While back in the terminal waiting to re-board, I just thought I’d check at the supervisors desk to see if they had anything. They had one cabin. A one bedroom concierge cabin. I was like, YES PLEASE! It was crazy vacation money talking, but I ponied up the additional 2k.

It was fabulous. Luckily my husband LOVED it, so he keeps asking to upgrade on our Wish B2B, but that is probably NOT going to happen. 😆

Had you already packed everything and taken your luggage off the ship? Or did they let you get your stuff and move it to the new room once you got back on?
