Upgrade at the Fort…loop 600

Loop 600 has been closed for at least a week and I’ve watched them putting in some type of cabling

Turns Out to be electrical. They are replacing the old brown site electrical boxes with new ones.

They have been slowly redoing a lot of the utilities. When we were there in January last year, they were installing a utility vault underground at the entry to the 1600 loop, near the comfort station. The second week were were there, they had a big generator on a trailer to provide power as they switched things over to the new lines.

I know they have been upgrading the wifi and cable too.

Good to see, from what I was told by a service CM a while back its been long overdue.
(I should have asked the bus driver for the whole story )
