Does it work the same as upgrading to a DLR AP? Will they apply the price of my hopper towards the Premier? We are going in July to DLR and following that with WDW in August, October and March so far. Can they handle everything at the DLR ticket booth or will I need to do something more at WDW? This is still just in the contemplation stage, I have 40 days to decide :) TIA

One more thing, price says $1579 plus tax, can anyone tell me how much the tax is? I'm guessing it's around $61.69 since that's the tax on the WDW platinum plus pass.

Yes the upgrade from a 4 day oarkhopper will work. After you compete the transaction you may have to call the WDW internet help desk if you pass doesn’t load into MDE properly. I’ve had to do that each time I’ve upgraded. Also, the tax will be $51.32. Half the cost of the pass is taxed.

Will I get a gold discount card like WDW APs or do I need to pick that up in Florida?

You will get your Premier card at Disneyland. Nothing to pick up at WDW. I have never had a problem loading my premier pass into either DL's website or MDE and I've purchased them at both DL and WDW.

Maybe I’m wrong but I ithought at WDW that you needed a separate card for their discounts. Maybe Premier is different. Specifically thinking about dining and merchandise.

No separate card. You’ll get an AP card that looks like this. The barcode on the left is the DLR part and the code on the bottom right is for WDW. The other info is for photopass.

Check to make sure it’s worth it if you’re only doing one DL trip-since the annual pass at WDW is $849, you’d have to make like three trips to DL to make the money work out...

Thank you, if I do this I will at least do one more trip to DLR, or maybe 2. Airfare to DLR is pretty cheap, although I've been real lucky on my Florida airfare so far. The pass you mention is the pass I would choose for WDW only, however Premier also includes the waterparks. (So that's the $949 pass)

Just wanted to make sure! With last minute travel club you can get five day hoppers to DL for $318, so youd need three 3-5 trips to make this lass worth it (unless you like to be at DL longer than five days at a stretch which I totally get!).

Don't forget that with the Premier Pass you also get Maxpass, Photopass, and the discounts on food and merchandise. Be sure to take those into account when you're doing your cost-comparison!

Thank you. And I want to add that I look forward to all of your food pics and reviews :)
