This will be great! I never felt like waiting in line at the kiosks, and we couldn't stand searching for them after we use our 3rd fps. Great change!
Booking up fast pass with your phone will certainly be nice, but I also wish the first 3 could be used in more than one park. We are rope droppers and sometimes want to be out of the park within two to three hours of open.
This strategy will only last if extra FPs are easy to get for later in the day. Also, there is not an infinite number of early morning FPs. This is just making the 60 day virtual Rope Drop all the more important. The easier it is to book additional FPs, the more people will book them. So if you use up your first three by noon and then find out that everything worthwhile is gone, you may conclude that using your FPs early in the day when the lines were the shortest was a bad idea. In other words, in May, people might use the "get 'em early" strategy. But if they come back here and report that there was nothing worthwhile after 1:00 p.m., then people will cross the "use 'em early" strategy off their list and go back to the way they have always done things. Yes, I think that there will be a high demand for early FPs....in the beginning. What we don't know is if that will prove to be a winning strategy.I think you'll see higher demand for those early morning/afternoon Fast Passes, just so the "super tourers" can get that 4th Fast Pass sooner than later (now with ease).
I guess this is good.
It doesn't mean all of the 4th FPs will be gobbled up earlier necessarily. It may be that they will dole them out during the day.
My thoughts exactly. We can only hope this is the plan.
I know what you mean, but you can check FP availability while in line by using the TP app. That's true but you won't be wasting time waiting in line to try to get a FP+. Less available, for sure but at least I can do it while standing in a ride line (and not a line to get into in a ride line... if you know what I mean).
Have you have seen something that suggests it won't be the case?I haven't seen anything that suggests this will be the case.
So do we think that this will make the 4th Fast Passes harder to come by since almost everyone will be trying to utilize them now? Will you be lucky to find a 4th Fast Pass for Small World at 9:50 PM?
I also worry about the system itself .. this will increase the usage of MDE a lot at the park .. hopefully the parks WIFI and the system can keep up with the strain.
Or will the majority of casual guests just not bother?
I was able to utilize 6 fast passes (using Kiosks) on my first FP+ trip to MK .. on my trips to the other parks I didn't need to get a 4th FP (just based on the pace of my group). On my second trip to MK (due to an afternoon break due to a rainstorm and low lines in the evening) I never needed to make more than just a 4th Fast Pass.
I will like the convenience of booking that 4th Fast Pass while waiting outside a bathroom without having to walk halfway across the park!
There is no evidence they do that now but maybe they will start? Or maybe they will just keep dumping FPs in all day for everything so there is always something available? Which will make the standby lines longer. It will be interesting to see what happens

Just imagine how magical it will feel to luck into something decent.
Oh, but forget about all the tries you would have to keep making when you want to be focused on the park around you.
Eh. I'm not sure this is the huge benefit that others think it is. If you take the total number of FPs that can be distributed in any given park on any given day and divide that by the number of people in the park that day, that will tell you the total number of FPs that each person can have if they were to be distributed evenly. Right now, they are not distributed evenly. But the more accessible the FPs become, the more they will be evenly distributed. Today, getting a 5th or 6th or 7th FP is possible, but requires a bit of effort. In the future, getting a 5th FP may be impossible. So you may be trading the ease of getting a 4th for the chance of ever getting a 5th (or 6th, or 7th). Which is more important to you...an easy 4th, or a 7th that requires s trip to a kiosk?
