Hmmm, it doesn't LOOK like a long walk from building 7. It looks far from, say, the far side of building 1 though. I, too, have always heard that this is a smallish resort and would have considered it for that reason. Maybe I should just request building 4 if I choose it huh?

Thank you! I can't figure out if I like it or not, the rooms look very nice since the rehab, but the exterior colors look really pastel , lol. I like that it seems very "green" outside.

Well, when you look at this map http://allearsnet.com/acc/pomap1.jpg showing the entire Port Orleans resort building 7 DOES look pretty far from the bus stop. That new POFQ map makes everything look more compact than this older map! I also found out that building 4 is smoking. What do you think of building 5? Any opinion there? Would it be closer than 7 to the bus stop? It's definitely closer to the pool.

What kind of room views are available?

There are 3 different room views. The Standard View Rooms offer a view of the parking lot. Garden View Rooms have a view of the 'inner streets' of the hotel. The Water View Rooms offer a choice between a view of the pool or the Sassagoula River . (Each room view has a different price.).
Buildings 2, 4 and the top 2 floors of 6 are designated Smoking rooms.

I have to agree it is a LONG walk to the buses and food court at PO. I don''t think anyone is being critical of the hotel just letting everyone know it's not as small as you might think. Our first visit we stayed at ASSP and while we really liked it, on our 2nd trip we decided to stay at a moderate. We specifically chose PO because of its size and thought we would be close to the buses! (Didn't know back then you could request a certain bldg!) We were also in bldg 7 and I was very dissappointed in the walking! It was a nice resort but we actually preferred ASSP ( since we had a 10 year old boy) We then tried CBR and although it is so big we were much closer to a bus stop and the walk to the food court was a nice walk. We are going back in May and are going to try POP Century. I just find the values to be more Disney! But thats only my opinion!!
