UPDATED: WDW Christmas Parade taping..da..da..da..daaa (Nov 9 through 13: See POST 80 and 115)

clearly I'm not the only one confused - I'm going to go with the latter that it's still on at 5pm and be cautiously optimistic it's still happening. :)
Sorry! Yulilin is correct and FOF is running at 5:00. Initially, everything with VIP characters was being downed but they'll be offstage before FOF runs at 5:00p.

Okay, so after reading as many of these posts as I can squeeze in on my break, I'm confused. Please help.
They will be taping the Parade on two of the days I plan on being in MK and Epcot respectively. Are there any reasons why wouldn't I want to be there for it? Never have been and have my sister and neice with me as first time visitors....
Thanks,
Diane

first off they are not taping the parade at WDW, they are taping performances and special appearances
No clue where in the parks they will be taping but it's safe to assume that some will be at the castle stage, at Epcot not sure where they would tape
Since these are performance tapings the areas affected will be small

The new times guide for next week is out and FoF is def. going to be at 5pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

unrelated but I've seen a lot of people here say that they or their lids are fans of The Descendants. On 11/7 they will release a Descendants MB on the shop disney app, I'm assuming they will also have them at the parks

We will be there with our friend who is a CM on 11/11 at 12pm- looking forward to finding out who we will be seeing!!

I need a cast member friend haha. Is is worth coming over if we do not have tickets? My daughter wants to come either Thursday/Friday depending on her school schedule and then we will already be at Hollywood on the 13th.

Guests can be pulled in for filming, but there's no guarantee there will be space in the viewing area (even for those with filming tickets)
If you are already planning on enjoying the parks, then there's no downside to try and view the filming as well. Just know there is a general dress code for who is allowed to be filmed (no logos/writing for other brands is the big one. They also ask for bright, festive colors) so if you don't fit the criteria, they may not let you towards the front

I think it was 9 years ago we got special tickets for pass holders. We got there super early in the morning and they did the taping of dancing with the stars. I do remember the stop/start, stop/start. My daughter was 4 that year and dressed as Snow White. We saw all the cast of Dancing with the Stars and got to say hi to Julianne. We had a great time. My daughter is now 14 and wants to go again. If we decide to come over either We'd/Thurs/Fri we will definitely wear Christmas tees and ears. For our scheduled Hollywood day she and her friend are planning on wearing their Star Wars gear.

I'm also hoping for something Star Wars related

Here's what CM and their guests were told to wear for the taping
